We also offer a NEW **BABES** CLASS ... for our youngest Sing and Signers (under 7 mths) ... CLICK HERE to email us for info and a free trial session
Sing and Sign was devised and developed in Brighton, inspired by my own experience of signing with my baby daughter. I taught my first ever class in Ascension Church Hall, Westdene one cold January morning in 2001, with just five mums and babies! I could not have imagined that thirteen years on, S&S classes would cover the country and many tens of thousands of babies would have benefited from the Sing and Sign approach, it has been amazing!
Spring term is now underway. CLICK HERE to see availability and book a provisional place for one of our three age groups Babes, Stage 1 or Stage 2 classes or for the waiting list for next term. Free taster sessions are currently running, we are very popular so places will need to be limited.
Babes, our new pre-Stage 1 curriculum for the youngest babies (under 7 months) is a gentle music and sensory class with a strong emphasis on communication. Babes is running a new half-a-term course beginning February 24th. CLICK HERE to see venues and times. We will offer a free session.
Our classes are open to babies from birth, as soon as you feel you would like to get out with your baby and enjoy some music together. If you would like to attend one of our scheduled free sessions (depending on availability), please contact us by email, or by using the Enquiry Form link you will see in the upper right hand corner of this page.
My experienced team of teachers - Natasha, Lynn, Jane, Jemma and I offer Sing and Sign classes in venues all over the city. Although we run 20 classes per week - Monday to Saturday, we are usually fully booked for our core curriculm Stage 1 sessions. Many parents have already discovered the benefits of signing with their baby, and our award winning classes are (as you may have gathered) filled very quickly. (Please note for twins - one child goes FREE!)
If you are not able to attend class, please don't miss out on the joys of signing with your baby! Most parents who attend our classes like to also get our DVD for home use and this is an ideal way to learn our approach and enjoy the songs and main content of class before a place comes free. Please use the link in the menu on the left to visit our online shop for details on how to order.
You can contact us by phone (01273 540266) or FOR A QUICKER RESPONSE, BY EMAIL email@example.com or USING THE ENQUIRY BUTTON up on the upper right hand side of this page. I look forward to hearing from you soon!Sasha
Classes are very relaxed and good fun! We keep class sizes small (around 11 per class) so you and your baby can enjoy the social aspect of class.
Classes run for an hour - we sing and sign for approximately 30-40 mins.
There is free tea or coffee for parents (venue facilities permitting)
We have three age appropriate groups to offer. Babes classes are for babies who are not yet mobile (under 8 mths), Our core curriculum Stage 1 classes are great for babies aged from 7mths upwards. Stage 2 classes are most appropriate for babies who have attended at least one term of stage 1, and who will be around 14mths+ at the start of term (exceptions apply, please contact me if you are unsure!).
We know babies don't like to stay still so we don't expect them to! They are welcome to roam around the room if they want to - they will still be learning (you'd be surprised how much they can pick up whilst wandering!) When Jessie Cat, instruments or the prop bag appear they soon come back!
At the end of our music session the toys come out! Your teacher is available to answer any questions that may not have already been answered in class.
We learn all the signs through our easy to learn action-songs. Don't worry if you can't sing ... you don't have to!
At the first week's session in our core curriculum Stage 1 class you will receive your baby's own personalised folder to keep the weekly handouts, which recap what we have learned in class.
Cost for the Spring 2014 term is £75.50 (11 weeks Stage 1 and Stage 2 ) and £34.50 for Babes (5 weeks). Due to limited numbers per class you will need to book and pay prior to term starting. (Early booking is advisable. We can take payment via cash (if you currently attend class and can take the £ in), cheque, Paypal online or credit/debit card over the phone.
We hope you can join us!

Sing and Sign has an excellent Nursery Affiliation Programme which will train staff on their own premises at a time to suit all. We will teach staff a selection of signs, tailor made to the nursery's individual requirements and design an Individual Action Plan to inspire staff and make signing fun and easy to incorporate. Following training, the nursery will receive a Certificate of Sing and Sign Affiliation together with ongoing access to our signing resources and a complimenatary package of products.
If your baby attends nursery or you know of a childcare facility that would be interested in receiving further information, please do pass our details on, or contact us at the number/email above.
